EE2 Nova Catalyst & Cataclysm

The Nova Catalyst and its upgraded version, the Nova Cataclysm, are much more powerful than normal TNT.

Unlike regular explosives, they do not damage players or mobs when ignited. They also do not scatter dropped items everywhere. Instead, all destroyed blocks are collected into a single loot sphere near the player, making everything much easier to retrieve.

The Nova Catalyst creates a very wide explosion, around 22 blocks across. The Nova Cataclysm is even stronger, exploding in a much larger and deeper radius, nearly twice the size of the Catalyst.

Because these explosives preserve the destroyed materials, and are relatively cheap in EMC compared to the ores and resources they uncover, they’re a very effective early-game EMC farming method.

Nova Catalyst Recipe

To craft a Nova Catalyst, simply combine Mobius Fuel with TNT anywhere in the crafting table.

Nova Cataclysm Recipe

For the Nova Cataclysm, replace the TNT with a Nova Catalyst and use Aeternalis Fuel instead of Mobius Fuel.
